Full Day excursion to Berat, antiquity and wines in this UNESCO hertitage town
Today we head towards an UNESCO town – Berat, the pride of Albanian antiquity and architecture. Berat forms a wonderful combination of eastern and western cultures, costumes and traditions. The architecture of the old houses, with large windows that overlook the town, is the first think that impresses the visitors. First stop: the Citadel. It overlooks the river and the modern city as well as the old Christian quarter across the river. The citadel can be reached by a steep road and is still inhabited. Inside the walls, you can visit ruined mosques and several medieval Orthodox churches, all intact and with restored frescoes and icons. Onufri National Museum is located in the inner part of “Saint Mary Church” in Castle of Berat. This Museum offers a collection of 173 belonging to the found of Albanian Churches and Monasteries.

In the afternoon we visit a local winery where we see the cellars, walk through the vineyards and enjoy degustation of local wines and snacks.
Return transfer to Tirana for another overnight in the capital city.

Full Day excursion to the historical towns of Shkodra & Kruja , with visit of the castles, degustation of traditional cuisine and meeting with the local artisans
Today we proceed to the northern city of Albania – Shkodra; the most important town of north Albania and the Illyrian capital, in the 3rd century BC. We Visit the old town, the pedestrian area and traditional architecture of the houses, the cathedral and mosques. Afterwards enjoy panoramic view of the city from the top of the hill where is located the Castle of Rozafa. When you visit the site you’ll see more than the ruins of a glorious castle: there is a very interesting museum within its third courtyard, with exhibits that tell the history of the castle, and that of the city it once defended against all kinds of enemies.
Further, we drive to Kruja, the historical city which lies on a hill 600 m above sea level and offers an amazing view on the entire region. With a combination of nature, history, archeology, traditional food and lifestyle, Kruja is one of the most beautiful tourist spots in Albania, notable from its stony streets and traditional buildings.

The tour begins with the visit in the Castle, the citadel of the National hero, Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg. It is build 548 m above sea level and gives a spectacular view of the surroundings. Visit the castle and the the Ethnographic Museum, Placed in a characteristic urban building of 1764. After the visits it’s time to get closer to Albanian traditions and lifestyle, by visiting the bazaar. It is a one street of shops, with wooden buildings and a mixture of cafés and small souvenir and antique shops. Here we meet the local artisans and see how they work on the handmade souvenirs or carpets.
Afternoon return to Tirana for farewell dinner and overnight.
