Arrival in Tirana International Airport – Durres
Arrival Flight in Tirana International Airport

Meet with the guide at the airport and transfer to the coastal town of Durres.

Welcome Dinner of fresh seafood and local wines will be organised by the seaside. Overnight at the hotel in the beach area or city centre.

Durres is the biggest seaport of the country. It is the most ancient city in Albania, with almost 3000 years of history.

Durres – Cows Farm Visit and Cheese Factory (Dairy farming) – Traditional Lunch in local farm – Kruja
Morning transfer for the farm visit

Visit of the farm in Lezha District – small family managed farm with cows and production of cheese. Milking, feeding the cows and getting involved in the cheese making procedures.

Transfer to a local bio restaurant, in the Fishte village, for traditional a lunch

Immediately notice the fresh air and peaceful panoramic view the village offers. This is one of the highlights in the Albanian Culinary. The family managed restaurant, provides only bio traditional food prepared with creativity an innovative ways. While enjoying the nature and food you might consider also a walk in the village area.

Lunch in the restaurant and a relaxing walk around the village before our transfer to Kruja

Kruja is a small characteristic town perched on a hill, center of Albanian resistance against the Ottoman Turks under our national hero Scanderbeg. He kept them from crossing into Western Europe for 25 years, thus earning the title “Champion of Christ” given by the Pope of the time. We will visit the Castle of Kruja, a very rich Ethnographic Museum situated on an original house of the 17th century and the Old Bazaar of handmade souvenirs. Dinner and overnight in Kruja.

Durres – Snail Farm Visit (Heliciculture) – Vlore
After breakfast we drive towards a local snail farm. Visit of the farm and getting involved in the daily jobs.

Afterwards enjoy some grilled snails and local drinks in the garden area!

In the afternoon we drive to the coastal city of Vlora where we can take a short city tour or a relaxing walk by the beach promenade.

Dinner and overnight in Vlora.

Saranda – Tangerines Farm visit – Butrint Archeological Site – Gjirokastra
After breakfast we leave Saranda and transfer to the local farm in Xarre (a village near Saranda)

During the day we take the Farm visit: The Xarre area is famous on the production of tangerines and olives. You will be guided in the tangerine fields, Enjoy a Tangerine Picking Experience and degustation, then continue our walk to see the olive trees.

Transfer to the Archaeological Site of Butrint where we stop for Lunch in local restaurant

After lunch we visit to the ancient city of Butrint, an UNESCO world heritage site. The city was first settled by Greek colonists and was continuously inhabited for centuries forming archaeological layers of different civilizations, making it an important discovery in the Mediterranean, rich in ancient sites. It is situated in a beautiful peninsula among dense vegetation, offering visitors more than just old ruins.

In the afternoon transfer to Gjirokastra

Gjirokastra, another UNESCO site and museum town with beautiful and very distinct architecture.

The town of Gjirokastra is built on the slope of a hill and is known for its characteristic and narrow coble stone streets. The dwelling houses have the form of medieval towers consisting of a building ensemble with characteristic architecture. The city was besieged and captured by the Ottomans in the 15th century, but unlike many other towns in Albania it flourished under its new rulers. In the 17th century it had 2000 houses and was a very important trading town. The castle itself stands like a balcony over the city. It enables the visitors to enjoy a very beautiful landscape

Dinner and overnight in Gjirokastra.

Gjirokastra – Visit local Farm and Vineyards – Berat
Morning transfer to Berat

While arriving in this old UNESCO town we head for lunch in local restaurant in Berat, located by the old town, in a traditional style building, serving traditional menu.

Further we Visit a local farm – We will drive for about 10 minutes to reach a small village of the town; where will meet the locals, visit the figs fields, grapes and olives. You can get involved in picking the figs, packing, or even inserting the sugar for jam or dried figs.

*In the village you can visit the olives area or visit a family that is producing the own wine in a small house cellar.

Further we close our afternoon with a Winery visit and wine tasting. This wine tasting experience will be organised at a local winery and vineyards

Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Berat.

Berat – Farm Visit in Durres – Lunch in Tirana – Tirana
Early morning we can take a sightseeing of Berat

Berat forms a wonderful combination of eastern and western cultures, costumes and traditions. The architecture of the old houses, with large windows that overlook the town, is the first think that impresses the visitors. First stop: the Citadel. It overlooks the river and the modern city as well as the old Christian quarter across the river. The citadel can be reached by a steep road and is still inhabited. Inside the walls, you can visit ruined mosques and several medieval Orthodox churches, all intact and with restored frescoes and icons. Onufri National Museum is located in the inner part of “Saint Mary Church” in Castle of Berat. This Museum offers a collection of 173 belonging to the found of Albanian Churches and Monasteries.

Afterwards Transfer for our farm visit in a village near Durres

This is a fruits and vegetables farm and you can get involved in daily jobs in the farm, sowing vegetables, picking fruits and herbs ect.

Lunch will be organised in a bio resort and in the afternoon you can decide whether to spend time in the resort, including walking, feeding the animals or getting involved in the daily farm jobs; or have a Walking tour of the city, to see the main attractions of the centre.

Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in Tirana.

Tirana – Airport Transfer
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for our return flight. Along the way we stop for lunch in an agrotourist site, including farm visit & wine tasting, with fresh bio foods menu.
