Arrival in Tirana International Airport – Tirana (30 min)
Meet with the guide at the airport and transfer to Tirana, where we enjoy a welcome lunch in a local restaurant. Afternoon in Tirana, we take a guided tour of the city, including the main boulevard, governmental buildings, the Pyramid. Tirana has a never-ending movement and energy. This metropolis city is worth to discover by day and night. Founded in the 1614, Tirana is now a developed city which combines culture, history, contemporary architecture and lots of hospitality shown towards tourists. As you take a walk in Tirana you will enjoy the look of the colorful buildings, fancy coffees and green parks.
Special visit in the Bunk Art 2, an old anatomic museum from the communism area, now converted into a museum, which represents the history of the communism victims. Dinner and overnight.

Tirana –Visit of the historical town of Kruja – Visit of Shkodra castle– (2 hrs)
After breakfast we proceed to Kruja, the historical city which lays on a panoramic view on the top of a hill, 600 km above sea level. With a combination of nature, history, archeology, traditional food and lifestyle, Kruja is one of the most beautiful tourist spots in Albania, notable from its stony streets and traditional buildings. The tour begins with the visit in the Castle, the citadel of the National hero, Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg. It is build 548 m above sea level and gives a spectacular view of the surroundings. Inside the fortes is build the National Museum “Gjergj Kastriot Skenderbeu”, which counts such pavilions as antiquity and early middle age pavilion, Albanian Princedom pavilion, pavilion of Ottoman Invasion and Resistance to this invasion, Medieval Fortress pavilion, Albanian resistance, Scanderbeg’s office equipment and library.
After the visits it’s time to get closer to Albanian traditions and lifestyle, by visiting the bazaar. It is a one street of shops, with wooden buildings and a mixture of cafés and small souvenir and antique shops.
Continue towards to the northern city of Albania – Shkodra; with the most important town of north Albania and the Illyrian capital, in the 3rd century BC. Walk to the Castle enjoy the view of the city from the Castle of Rozafa a mysterious structure, surrounded in legends and mysticism. Traditional dinner in a local restaurant and overnight.

Shkodra – Monastery of Decan – Peja (3.5 hrs)
Today we drive towards Kosovo, reaching the town of Peja. Arriving in Peja, we visit the monastery of Decan. This monastery complex is a wonderful example of the Orthodox religious architecture and art part of UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must for anyone visiting Kosovo. Afternoon visit of the city, Dinner and overnight in Peja.

Peja – Prizren UNESCO (1 hrs) – Skopje (3 hrs)
We leave Peja and drive to visit Prizren. Prizren is a true open air Museum, one of the most beautiful towns of Kosovo which has best preserved the architectural style of the past. The craftsmen of Prizren are well known for their beautiful gold and silver articles and other folk handcrafts. Take a short tour and traditional lunch here in the old town.
In the afternoon we leave Kosovo & reach the capital city of Macedonia, Skopje where we spend the overnight and enjoy traditional cuisine for dinner.

Skopje – Ohrid (3 hrs)
After breakfast we visit the city of Skopje. This is the birth town of Mother Teresa and many parts reflect her history. Visit the old Turkish bazaar, Mahmut Pasha Hammam, the memorial house of Mother Teresa, stone bridge and the Macedonia Plaza.
Leaving Skopje, we drive towards Ohrid where we visit the old town located in the shores of lake Ohrid. Visit the Cathedral of St. Sofia built between the 11th and 14th century, which was the seat of the Archbishop. Also we walk by the church of St. Clement, a classic Orthodox Byzantine church which demonstrates the link between Byzantine and Italian Renaissance art, and the Icon Gallery.

Ohrid – Berat (3 hrs)
This morning we return in Albania, driving towards UNESCO heritage town, Berat.
Berat is the pride of Albanian antiquity and architecture and forms a wonderful combination of eastern and western cultures, costumes and traditions. The architecture of the old houses, with large windows that overlook the town, is the first think that impresses the visitors.
Arriving Berat, we enjoy lunch in the city before starting the tour.
First stop: the Citadel. It overlooks the river and the modern city as well as the old Christian quarter across the river. The citadel can be reached by a steep road and is still inhabited. Inside the walls, you can visit ruined mosques and several medieval Orthodox churches, all intact and with restored frescoes and icons. Onufri National Museum is located in the inner part of “Saint Mary Church” in Castle of Berat. This Museum offers a collection of 173 belonging to the found of Albanian Churches and Monasteries.
Afternoon visit of a local winery for degustation of local wines and snacks. (Optional at a supplement)
Traditional dinner in a local restaurant located by the old town and Overnight in Berat.

Berat – Gjirokaster (UNESCO) (3 hrs) Sarande (1.5 hrs)
After breakfast proceed to Gjirokastra, another UNESCO site and museum town with beautiful and very distinct architecture.
The town of Gjirokastra is built on the slope of a hill and is known for its characteristic and narrow coble stone streets. The dwelling houses have the form of medieval towers consisting of a building ensemble with characteristic architecture. The city was besieged and captured by the Ottomans in the 15th century, but unlike many other towns in Albania it flourished under its new rulers. The castle itself stands like a balcony over the city. It enables the visitors to enjoy a very beautiful landscape. Visit the Castle.
In the afternoon, reach the coastal city of Saranda, where we can relax by the seaside and spend the overnight.

Saranda – Archeological Park of Butrint (30 min) – Ksamil Islands (20min) – Saranda (20 min)
This morning we visit the ancient city of Butrint, an UNESCO world heritage site.
The city was first settled by Greek colonists and was continuously inhabited for centuries forming archaeological layers of different civilizations, making it an important discovery in the Mediterranean, rich in ancient sites. It is situated in a beautiful peninsula among dense vegetation, offering visitors more than just old ruins.
After the visit, transfer to Ksamil Islands, a beautiful beach area where we can relax, try some local seafood, or sunbath.
Afternoon return to Saranda. Visit the Castle of Lekursi, which offers panoramic views of the city from the top of the hill where it is located. Dinner at the local restaurant in the castle. Overnight in Saranda.

Saranda – Drive through Albania Riviera – Llogara National park – Vlora (4 hrs)
Drive on the spectacular Albanian Riviera looking down at the Ionian Sea, passing through the small coastal villages of Dhermi and Himara.
Stop along the coast to relax by the seaside or go swimming in the turquoise waters. Breathtaking sceneries await us at the Llogara pass – 1000 m above sea level. We stop in Llogara National Park to enjoy the view, photo shooting from above & try a special local product – Yogurt with honey & nuts.
In the late afternoon arrive in the coastal town of Vlora, for dinner and overnight.

Vlora – Archeological Park of Apollonia – Durres (1.5 hrs)
Today we travel to Apollonia, located 123 km from Tirana.
It is one of the most well-known archeological sites in the country and recently a national archaeological park.
Visit the Odeon, and the courtyard of the Monastery where there is a Byzantine style church believed to have been built in the 14th century. Here you can see some monuments like the Encircling Wall, the Bouleterion, the Mosaics House and the Nymphaioum.
Continue towards Durres, where take a walking tour of the city. Durres is the most ancient city in Albania, with almost 3000 years of history. The city is home to many ancient archeological sites and the Amphitheater of the Roman Emperor Adrian is the most known, also the second biggest amphitheater in the Balkans. Roman Amphitheatre – the largest crowds out of all amphitheaters that have been found in the Balkans.
Relaxing afternoon in the seaside, and farewell dinner, Overnight in Durres.

Durres – Airport Transfer (30 min)
After breakfast transfer to the airport for the return flight, where we say goodbye!
