SARAJEVO CITY TOUR
After breakfast, Sarajevo city tour with escort local guide.
Here we can go back in time to see the legacy of the two great empires that ruled this land. The Ottomans (from1463-1878) were followed by the Austro Hungarians (1878 – 1918).
Visit the Latin Bridge, Bascarsija old bazaar, the Bey’s mosque, the Orthodox church with Icon museum, Catholic church, Tunnel of escape Museum.

SARAJEVO – MOSTAR (3 hrs)
Morning drive from Sarajevo to Mostar
Along the way we will stop in Rakitnica River, formed a 26 km long, rugged and magnificent canyon that stretches between Bjelasnica and Visocica Mountains to the southwest of Sarajevo. Rakitnica River Canyon is one of the deepest and most profound gorges in Europe,
Afternoon sightseeing of Mostar – Old-New Bridge, Tower of Halebija – Cehovina, Ceyvan Cehan Mosque, Karadjoz-bey’s Mosque, Old market Overnight in Mostar.

Mostar – Kotor (4 hrs)
Morning drive to Kotor, a magical town of Montenegro located in the south-eastern part of the beautiful Boka-Kotor Bay – regarded one of the most beautiful bays in the world, and one of the most distinctive landscapes anywhere on the Mediterranean. The hills and mountains divide the bay into the Bay of Herceg Novi, the Bay of Tivat and the Bay of Risan and Kotor, connected via the straits of Kumbor and Verige, making the narrowest part of the bay – 300 meters. Along the whole coast of the Boka there is a chain of small towns and settlements all of which has its own charm, story and history worth-discovering.

KOTOR & Visit of Perast Village
Visit Kotor starting with the Cathedral. The most representative and most significant Romanesque monument of architecture in the Adriatic is the magnificent Saint Typhon’s Cathedral, constructed in 1166 and built on the remains of the former temple from the 8th century. The dome of the Kotor Cathedral, dedicated to the town’s patron saint, is built in baroque style and pillars are covered with the famous Korcula Island marble. There are the remains of the frescoes from the 14th century. The valuable Treasury keeps golden reliquary artworks done by the local masters dating from the 14th till the 20th centuries.
Visit The Clock Tower as one of the symbols of Kotor and dates from the 17th century, occupying the central place in the square opposite the main gate. Below the Clock Tower of Kotor there is the Pillar of Shame which was used for punishment of an accused person for steeling by placing him/her in front of the Pillar so that all the citizens of Kotor would know for his/her offense.
Visit as well The local market of Kotor, as is one more attraction of the town, as the market life ever since has pulsed here.
Boat ride to Perast.
Perast is a UNESCO heritage site, small sleepy fishermen village in Kotor Bay with an amazing history and toDay one of the most beautiful examples of baroque architecture in the Adriatic, thanks to its subtle urban palaces and structures which mostly date from the 17th and the 18th century.
Return for overnight in Kotor.

Kotor – Budva (30 min) – Shkodra (2.5 hrs)
Budva features traces of the Illyric, Hellenic, Roman and Slav cultures that mark the foundations of the European civilization. The old town of Budva attracts attention with its location on the rocky reef, on the northern peak of the picturesque bay. The existing fortifications, dating from the Venetian period of administration, only resembles the medieval stronghold, while in its foundations lay remains of the Hellenic and Medieval walls. Besides Kotor, Budva is the only settlement in the Montenegrin coast whose historical core with narrow streets and small squares is almost entirely encircled with walls. The Old town of Budva is adorned with pillons – the gate of the ancient Budva from the 6th century BC, remains of the antique necropolis with extremely rich archaeological traces, the Roman capitels, Roman and the Early-christian mosaics, Roman therma, the Medieval walls with the Citadel. Visitors of Budva are welcome by architectural ruins of the Early-christian Basilica from the end of the 5th century, the Cathedral of Saint John dating from the 7th century, the Santa Maria in Punta Church from 840, where in summer rich artistic and music program is held, the Chruch of Saint Sava consecrated from the 12th century, remains of the Church of Santa Maria de Castello on the Citadel – 12th till the 14th century, and the Church of Saint Trinity from 1804 with the tomb of the famous writer of Budva – Stefan Mitrov Ljubiša (1824-1878). The icon of the Holy Virgin with Christ or so-called the Lady of Budva – “Budvanska Gospa”, dating from the 19th century is special sanctity, attraction and the protector of the town of Budva. This attractive summer resort of Montenegro is adorned with 18 beautiful beaches in its surroundings, of which 8 beaches are attributed the Blue flag for the purity of its waters – prestigious international recognition for quality and standards of services and the beach offers.
After visits in Budva, enter Albania, in its northern city Shkodra. Overnight in Shkodra.

Shkodra City Tour
Visit the pedestrian area of the old town, the old Mesi Bridge from the 15 century, and the legendary Rozafa Castle
The Rozafa fortress, dominating the town of Shkodra, is one of the most famous monuments in Albania. Built on a hill dominating the confluency of the rivers Buna/Bojana and Kiri, Rozafa Fortress has an oval shape, a perimeter of 600 m and an area of 6 ha. The Rozafa fortress and its seven towers were successively rebuilt by the Venitians and the Ottomans on the foundations of an early Illyrian fortress. The building of the fortress is related by Rozafa’s legend. The three brothers in charge of the building noticed that their daily work was always destroyed during the next night; they were advised by an old man to wall up someone alive in order to calm down the demons that trashed their work. The brothers decided to sacrifice the first of their wives who would come the next Day to bring their lunch. The two oldest brothers warned their wives and Rozafa, the wife of the junior son, was sacrificed. She accepted it but asked for a small interstice to be made in the wall so that she could breast-feed her young son. Rozafa’s fountain, indeed a seepage of calcareous water, can still be seen in the wall of the entrance gate of the fortress. It is a place of pilgrimage for pregnant women.

Shkodra – Theth Village (5 hrs)
Thethi is a tourist – climbing, hiking and alpinist region and the most important tourist center of the northern Albania. Within the territory of Theth National Park and its surroundings there are about 170 caves and semi caves, of which 10 caves are of international category. There are simple accommodation facilities in the Theth National Park which provide tourist services to visitors – excellent organic homemade food and decent accommodation in their houses, in the gorgeous and remote areas of the Theth National Park.

Theth – Kruja (6 hrs) -Tirana (1 hrs)
Morning transfer from Theth to the colorful Capital Tirana.
On the way stop to visit Kruja, the historical city which lays on a panoramic view on the top of a hill, 600 km above sea level. With a combination of nature, history, archeology, traditional food and lifestyle, Kruja is one of the most beautiful tourist spots in Albania. Vsiit the castle & the old bazaar of handmade souvenirs.
Afternoon reach Tirana, for walking tour of the city. Overnight in Tirana.

Tirana – Apollonia Archeological Site (2 hrs) – Berat (UNESCO) (2 hrs)
Today we travel to Apollonia, one of the most well-known archeological sites in the country and recently a national archaeological park. Arriving in Apollonia we visit the Odeon, and the courtyard of the Monastery where there is a Byzantine style church believed to have been built in the 14th century. Here you can see some monuments like the Encircling Wall, the Bouleterion, the Mosaics House and the Nymphaioum. Afterwards proceed towards Berat for overnight.

Berat Full Day
Berat forms a wonderful combination of eastern and western cultures, costumes and traditions. The architecture of the old houses, with large windows that overlook the town, is the first think that impresses the visitors. First stop: the Citadel. It overlooks the river and the modern city as well as the old Christian quarter across the river. The citadel can be reached by a steep road and is still inhabited. Inside the walls, you can visit ruined mosques and several medieval Orthodox churches, all intact and with restored frescoes and icons. Onufri National Museum is located in the inner part of “Saint Mary Church” in Castle of Berat. This Museum offers a collection of 173 belonging to the found of Albanian Churches and Monasteries. Afterwards you can visit the Ethnographic Museum, a two storied residence, with a lobby on one side. This residence is equipped with non-moveable furniture that serve for the preservation of the household objects, wooden case, wall-closets, chimneys, wells, etc. Overnight in Berat.

Berat – Ohrid (3 hrs)
Transfer to Sveti Naum in Macedonia part.
Set amidst lush verdure where the River Crn Drim tumbles into the lake, the monastery of St. Naum is a refuge of tranquility at the very southwestern corner of the Macedonian Republic. Situated 29 km (18 m) from the town of Ohrid and only 1 kilometer (0.6 m) from the Albanian border, the monastery brings the Macedonian experience to a dramatic culmination.
As with most Byzantine churches, St. Naum was chosen primarily for its location – on a high, rocky outcropping over the lake, above deep forests and life-giving springs of the river Crn Drim.
The monastic complex and church of St. Naum were built originally at the turn of the tenth century by the monk that beard the same name; Macedonians believe you can still hear the saint’s heartbeat by pressing an ear to his stone coffin inside the church.
Transfer to Ohrid – 15 minutes. Full afternoon tour of the town known as the Macedonian Jerusalem due to its large number of churches, plus an opportunity to experience Ohrid through the centuries – see St Sophia cathedral, the oldest cathedral in Macedonia; the church of St Clement at Plaoshnik; and the Gallery of Icons. Overnight Ohrid.

Ohrid – Prizren (4 hrs)
Today we drive to visit Prizren. Prizren is a true open air Museum, one of the most beautiful towns of Kosovo which has best preserved the architectural style of the past. The craftsmen of Prizren are well known for their beautiful gold and silver articles and other folk handcrafts. Overnight in Prizren.

Prizren – Skopje (3.5 hrs)
This morning we return back to Macedonia, to spend the last overnight in Skopje.
The territory of the present Day Skopje has been inhabited since at least 4000 BC and Neolithic remains have been found in the Kale Fortress. Skopje is located on the upper course of the Vardar River and is located approximately in the middle of a major Balkan route that runs north-south between Belgrade and Athens. The Vardar River divides the city in two, the old part and the newer part. The latter has a nice pedestrian street from the Macedonia Square to the old train station.
Skopje is the birth place of Mother Teresa, and there is a nice memorial house in her honor and off course a sculpture of her, which we will include in the visit
